Organic SEO Top 10 Myths

There are many SEO myths circulating on the Internet. These misconceptions are often crazy and while some are based on partial reality, others have spread due to the lack of being proved wrong.

Here is an example: Let's assume you make a change to your website content. Maybe after a few days you notice that your Google ranking for a certain keyword has altered. Now, it would be natural for you to assume that your content change had led to change in ranking. However, it may not be true. Your ranking could have changed due to several reasons, and may have absolutely nothing to do with the changes made to the content.

Of course, this action of mixing up the cause and effect is a common error on the part of new SEOs. Well, if it were limited to just their work, I wouldn't really mind it. But these guys are clueless and many a times spread their ignorance to other newbies on blogs and forums and create a ripple effect of newer myths. Here, I am making an attempt to discuss and clear the top 10 organic SEO myths:

Organic SEO Myth 1: You must submit your website URL to search engines. Once upon a time, this could have been the "in" thing. But since the past 5-6 years it has become unnecessary.

Organic SEO Myth 2: In order to get better ranking, you absolutely need a Google Sitemap. It's partially correct. However, if you have built your site properly (ensured its crawler-friendly) you don't require a Google Sitemap. That being said, having one won't hurt you and you can even use other Webmaster Central tools offered by Google, but this doesn't guarantee higher ranking.

Organic SEO Myth 3: For higher rankings, update your website regularly. Regular updating of your content pages may certainly increase the crawl rate for search engines, but not your website rankings. Only update your website content it is necessary and not because search engines will like it any better. As a matter of fact, the highest ranked websites on Google are those that haven't been updated in years!

Organic SEO Myth 4: PPC (pay per click) ads can help or hurt rankings. What amuses me most is that several people believe that participating in Google AdWords campaigns will hurt their organic SEO ranking, while many other believe that PPC will spike the traffic and up the ranking. All I can say is that neither of this is true!

Organic SEO Myth 5: Not following guidelines on Google will ban your website. Google's guidelines are common sense but not mandatory. It's advisable to read them, however just don't do any thing purely for search engines and you'll be fine.

Organic SEO Myth 6: Buying links can lead to banning of your website. It is partially true again. Google doesn't like to count paid links as votes for a website page. Mostly Google is unable to find out if the links are paid for, but even if it does, it won't count the links. Google won't ban your website in any case. A quick update, Google has made it easier to report paid links in sites that are unrelated to your site. Thought the reasoning is yet unclear and best practice should tell you don't buy links in unrelated site to your theme.

Organic SEO Myth 7: Header tags or H1 should be used to ensure high ranking. There is no evidence to prove this. However, this is one of the most common myths. You can reach top Google positioning without H1 but they certainly don't hurt so use H tags correctly.

Organic SEO Myth 8: Meta keywords tag need to be used on your page. The fact is that a Meta keyword tag was introduced to use keywords that are NOT on the site page already! However, this tag is ignored by Google in any case.

Organic SEO Myth 9: The SEO copy should be 250 words in length. 250 words is not really an optimal number nor is it specific for SEO rankings. Easily, 250 words allow one to write a good marketing copy and can be optimized for 3-5 main key phrases. However, shorter SEO copies work just as well.

Organic SEO Myth 10: Your pages should be optimized for the long tail keywords. This is not true. Nowadays, long-tail keyword phrases are no longer effective as not many pages use them and not many people search using long tails. You can include these keywords in blogs or even an article, but that is not really optimization.

Remember don't go spreading any SEO myths that you believe may be true. Test it yourself several times on different websites before reaching any conclusion as there are other factors involved as well.

Easy Organic SEO Tips for Your Website

Many websites want to use SEO for optimal use. The best SEO is organic SEO. Organic SEO is the perfect combination of intuition and skill. There is a saying that many SEO writers and web designers use: write and create websites for human first and search engines second. When you create a top-notch website with excellent articles that capture someone's interest, you are naturally going to use keywords that people will search for that topic most often. Organic SEO is simply using a strong dose of good common sense.

We've all seen websites that look like they were designed by robots, or people that simply didn't keep the visitor in mind. When you use organic SEO, you are always keeping the visitor well in mind. Yes, you do want to attract as many visitors as possible. You do this through having an excellent website that is both attractive and practical.

Update your site frequently - but not too frequently. Many think that SEO means to update your website all the time. This is not quite the case. You want your website to be updated with "sticky content" that has visitors returning to your website. Visitors should find articles and graphics appealing and attractive. When the articles at your website are interesting and people want to email them to their friends: you know you have been successful. Checking your website stats for both unique and return visitors can also give you a strong indication of how your organic SEO is working.

Use multiple keywords. An excellent suggestion to employ organic SEO is to use multiple keywords. Just about every topic one can think of can have several keywords. Incorporate two to three keywords in each article. These will help the search engines catch your articles and web copy easily, knowing that they have the information that people are searching for on this topic. When articles and copy have related keywords it is very useful for many purposes, including organic SEO.

Keep organic SEO copy at least 250 words in length. While you can occasionally write articles or copy (such as a blog post) that is shorter in length, it is probably best to keep things longer than 250 words. Articles and copy that are 250 words or longer help to capture the attention of the search engine and spiders that seek out the information when people do searches for the topics they are looking for. You don't want your copy to not be included, simply because it is too short!

Write longer articles (600 +) whenever. Many Internet Marketers have found great success in using articles that are longer than 600 words. These "long tail" articles are great at getting the search engine and spiders attention. It can be easy to request your copy to be a bit longer from your copywriter when you order it, or if you are writing it yourself simply to write a bit longer. A good practice is to try some long tail articles or copy and see how successful they are for you, notice the hits you are receiving on those particular pages. This will help you gauge your success rate.

Many have been successful at organic SEO without knowing what this was, before it even had a name. These people simply created websites they were passionate about, with top-quality information. They wanted to entertain and inform visitors. They genuinely wanted their website visitor to return to their website. That is at the true heart of organic SEO: pleasing your visitors one by one.

Organic SEO should not be difficult. As a matter of fact, it should be quite straight-forward and very logical. When creating something for your organic SEO purposes, if your first thought is "would a visitor appreciate this at our website?" you know you are on the right track. Always keep the visitors' enjoyment and appreciation well in mind, and your organic SEO success will be along right behind it!

Why Organic SEO is Superior to Sponsored SEO Results and Listings

One of the buzzwords in search engine optimization at the moment is "organic SEO". Look at any SEO service or content provider and 9 times out of 10 they'll say that they only use organic SEO methods to improve your website's ranking - I should know, since it's one of the mottos of my company! So what is organic SEO and why is it so important?

Simply put, organic SEO is the type of website optimization that offers natural results from search engines. When you go to a search engine like Google or Yahoo and you type in the keyword or phrase that you're looking for, there are normally two kinds of results that pop up - sponsored listings and organic SEO.

Sponsored listings are the ones that you see either at the top, bottom or right hand side of the search engine page whenever the result of a search pops up. These are normally company or business names in their own boxes, ans are a result of that company paying Google, Yahoo and the other search engines to place them on the front page for a certain keyword search.

The problem with sponsored SEO is that unless you have a fairly large ongoing budget, you'll soon run out of advertising space. Additionally, the majority of people look at the top 10 results for the keyword they used - otherwise known as organic SEO. This pretty much negates the need for sponsored listing.

The benefits of organic SEO over sponsored listings are numerous. Some of the key benefits include:

  • Less expensive than sponsored listings
  • Offers a true measure of your search engine optimization success
  • Organic SEO can be more easily managed than sponsored listings
Another benefit of organic SEO is that since any visitor coming to your website from an organic SEO result is doing so because they have found your specific service, there is more chance of a sale or call-to-action. After all, whereas a sponsored listing may just mention a business that sells bananas, your company may sell dessert baby bananas - therefore anyone typing that into a search engine will come to your site, as long as the content is optimized for SEO. This is what organic SEO offers.

As long as Google and other search engines continue changing how their search engine results work, webmasters and companies will need to keep on top of their website optimization. If you're unsure, SEO specialists and content providers using organic SEO will be able to help you keep on top of the Google rankings by using organic SEO and optimized content for your site.

When you use organic SEO on your site, you are combine the natural appeal of your content with design with development, making it appear on the top of these search engines' page rankings.

Most of the search engine page results that you see at the top are all organic results.

Organic SEO Methods Ensure your Success on the Web

Does the term sound confusing? Well don’t be, as this is nothing drastically different from the usual methods that are implemented by online business owners for search engine optimization of their site on the web. Organic SEO are the simple natural methods that are used for promoting a site on the web. The web is populated with numerous sites that provide different kinds of services to clients. Visitors always look out for information and if you manage to reach out to such visitors, you can surely do good business. After all, this is exactly what all online business owners aim to do through their online business sites.

To be successful on the web, you have to understand search engines really well. So understanding search engines is very crucial, if you want to be successful in this business. Search engines work very differently and they do not view and receive a site like we do. Search engines have certain criteria and guidelines, and if a site fulfills those requirements search engines receive those sites very favorably. It is very important for you to understand what search engines like to see and what they do not like to see on a site. Taking care of all these factors will ensure that the Organic SEO methods that you use for your site will be successful.

Search engines change their algorithms very frequently. There are several reasons behind this, and the most obvious among them is the fact that they want to improve their results. The results are concluded after making a study of the users who are active on the web. Organic search engine optimization methods involve using all the legal and white hat methods for the optimization of a site on the web. If you make use of all the legal methods, it will ensure that you will never be tangled in any kind of legal mess.

It is not humanely possible for search engines to crawl the huge number of websites on the web. So it is not a person rather automated software called spiders or bots used to crawl the sites. The relevance and importance of a site is determined based on the results of the crawling done by the software. Since search engines keep on changing their algorithm and criteria for giving rankings to sites, you must be fully aware of what is needed to attract the attention of all the major search engines.

There are several methods and technique that can be used for optimizing your site on the web. The idea is to announce to everyone that you have entered the market and are interested in doing serious business on the web. Well if you do not tell anyone about you, how do you expect others to know and find out about your business? Ultimately, it is your call to determine what methods you feel will be the best for your site. However, it can be safely said that organic SEO are one of the best methods that can be used for the promotion of your online business site.

7 Ubiquitous Organic SEO Myths You Must Avoid

The Internet Marketing is a world, full of webmasters who vie amongst themselves to topple each other in terms of their website rankings on several popular search engines including Google. They deploy a dozen of so called organic SEO tricks to their online marketing campaign to achieve better ROI and improve their bottom-line. However, quite a few organic SEO companies are embroiled in some organic SEO myths. Let’s take a quick look at what keeps some organic SEO companies in the shadows.

Organic SEO Myth #1 - SEO Copy Should Be 250 Words

One of the most prevalent SEO myths among the organic SEO companies is the number of words on the web page. It is believed that short copies rank better than longer copies. There are no such established rules that substantiate this supposition. However, a word count of 250 words with an ideal keyword density of 2% is, usually, universally acceptable.

Organic SEO Myth #2 – Google Sitemap is Inevitable

An organic SEO company need not worry about the Google sitemap on their website as Google sitemap no longer influences the rankings of a website. However, having a Google sitemap is not a negative factor. If your website is well-designed with a crawler-friendly navigation, you should be able to rank pretty well on that.

Organic SEO Myth #3 – URL Submission to Search Engines is Vital

Gone are the days when this practice was very helpful in bringing good results in terms of higher search engine ranking. URL submission to search engines is no longer effective now. However, submission to search engines is not bad at all for any organic SEO company.

Organic SEO Myth #4 – Header Tags Can Boost Organic Rankings

Header Tags such as H1, H1 and H2 should be used only when they are required to complement the webpage from design stand point. There is very little evidence that corroborate the popular belief that Header Tags influence the search engine rankings of an organic SEO company.

Organic SEO Myth #4 – PPC Ads Influence Website Rankings

Many webmasters wrongly take PPC Ads as a supporting camping to their organic SEO campaigns. However, it is not at all true that running Google AdWords affect any organic SEO campaign, either positively or negatively. It has absolutely nothing to do with the website rankings of any website.

Organic SEO Myth #5 – Meta Keywords Must Be Used on the Webpage

One of the most hyped organic SEO myths is using the meta keywords on the webpages. Meta keywords are usually used because it is not practically possible to use all keywords on the webpages. Hence, by using the meta keywords that do not find their place on the webpage, we increase the chance of the webpages to rank higher. Hence, it is unnecessary to use all the meta keywords on the webpages.

Organic SEO Myth #5 – Website Should Be Optimized for Long-Tail Keywords

Long-tail keywords are not very popular, whether with the organic SEO companies or searchers. Since they are not competitive, no body searches for them, ranking for them is simple. However, it doesn’t make sense to rank higher for keywords that are not very popular or competitive in the organic SEO industry.

Organic SEO?

Organic SEO is a term used for natural content that lends itself to ranking well in search listings under a specific subject matter or topic. No tricks, keyword stuffing, or other techniques that are considered unnatural. The idea is that if you provide useful content that is of value to the visitor, the search engines will not only give you good rankings now but in the future too.

People spend a lot of time trying to figure out the latest and greatest trick or method to achieve good search engines rankings. There are some important basics to adhere to but in the long run, it's pretty simple to get good rankings. Provide unique content of value in the given subject area.

Organic or natural search engine optimization is following the guidelines of the major search engines and providing useful information. So how can you do that when there are already 5 or 6 million other resources that do the same thing?

One way is to do it better, provide a unique twist, and the detail necessary to separate you from the crowd. Some of the one-word popular search terms get up to 2 billion results displayed on a typical search. That's right my friend, you may have billions of competitors for a popular search term.

Dig down a little deeper, just like most searchers will do eventually, and the competition will thin out. Get down to a very specific aspect of the search query, and two things happen. First, you are in a less competitive area and second, you are better targeting your potential visitor.

You don't want just any visitor, you want someone is has an interest in your particular area of the base search term or subject. It doesn't matter if you are trying to sell something, provide information, or promote your opinion to influence others. You should always drill down and be specific in your content to reach your intended audience.

Another important part of Organic SEO is following the known guidelines of the search engines. Naming conventions (page, title, even domain) have an impact on rankings. Creating well-designed layouts for both the reader and the search engine bots (bots are software programs that go out and visit the websites) helps too.

Areas on each web page such as navigation menus and internal links need to be in proper format and easy to find. Descriptive phrases or information about the link should be clear and concise. Providing complementary or associated information gives your reader more options to spend more time on your website.

It's easy to get lost in the weeds when working with search engine optimization. There are few rules, but many guidelines. Too many times people look for an absolute, when there are none to be found. And always remember that the search engines constantly re-evaluate their ranking methods to both eliminate the cheaters and improve the quality of results.

While I can't use a picture in this article, I can give you an example that may be helpful in better understanding organic SEO. For our example lets use gardening as the subject matter. In our example the website will sell items that gardeners might be interested in buying. There are lots of subcategories in gardening to choose from, so lets go with house plants. And maybe drill down a little further in this area to succulents (plants that thrive with very little water).

Providing information on any and every aspect of our subject of succulents will provide a lot of content to attract the visitors interested in that type of information. You could have sections on growing, identifying, indigenous, and flowering for starters. Each page would have very specific information on each area, presented in a unique method around house plant applications.

The layout and design should have the page names, titles, and links that use descriptive terms to identify the subject matter. Unique content could be personal experience, recommendations in specific placements, etc. Each web page could display items for sale that apply to that subject matter. Or you could also display affiliate links to other websites that pay you a commission on sales.

So you can see from this example that the information provided is the key to attracting visitors with an interest in the subject matter. Search engines will see that too, and serve up your web page when someone searches for your topics. The goal of the search engines it to provide the best possible results to the query. If your information provides that information, you get listed.

There are many parts to the puzzle in search engine optimization. Organic SEO is just one part but if you do it well, you can get some good results in search engine traffic. Providing valuable and unique information on your website will attract visitors via their queries on the popular search engines.

Organic SEO and Plucking the Low Hanging Fruit

Just like planting seeds Organic SEO as an internet marketing strategy requires patience, but the rewards when reaped are plentiful.

Although organic optimization is not the first choice for many (depending on the brand and business model) organic search does have inherent benefits that are unparalleled by sponsored or paid advertising tactics.

Conversion is all About Trust

The distinction of hearing something directly from a trusted third party referral is one of the oldest and most successful forms of market leverage a brand can develop. Particularly when purchasing decisions are being formulated in the mind of prospective consumers.

It is this element of trust (like hearing about a great coffee shop or restaurant from a friend) that encourages people to part with their hard earned cash and step up to try a new product, travel to a destination, try something new, etc.

With the obvious advantages of organic search (ranking highly in the natural search results) and the multitudes of low hanging fruit available for the picking (as far as keywords go).

Is it simply lack of patience, lack of brand flexibility or simple ignorance to the benefits of an effective organic search engine optimization campaign that keeps PPC in business or the people who use it so enthralled by it's influence.

You have to consider the variables:

  • Not everyone has content that is ideal or suitable for organic search.
  • Branding may conflict with excessive verbiage
  • Timing, market share and a fast yielding sales cycles may not provide ample time to wait on organic search results to mature

The entire notion based on volatile purchasing of select keywords and bidding on them (based on competition and click through rates) doesn't necessarily encourage businesses or webmasters to focus on content quality first, only cost per click & conversion.

Rather that viewing your marketing campaigns short-term goals using logic of PPC, the downside of PPC is just that, you have to pay per click.

Not a problem for a publicly traded company or a product with a high profit margin (since branding is important) as not all products can have 10 pages dedicated to them or an entire site wrapped around it to create relevance to develop the process of growing seed keywords into fully grown top 10 rankings.

But for many struggling businesses the costs keep rising and just like gas prices, exorbitant fees are a result of supply and demand.

In contrast, the upside of Organic search engine optimization is, once you overcome the on-page (content) and off-page (link building) factors, you can potentially reap untold amounts of traffic from various long-tail keywords if optimized properly.

The Bottom Line, It's all about the Brand Strategy

It's not always what you sell, it's how you sell it that determines if renting via Pay Per Click (PPC) or owning/developing brand equity (Organic SEO) is the right decision for your business.

I wanted to use an example to elaborate such as the difference between "high self monitor advertising" and "low self monitor advertising".

A high self monitor mentality is akin to a stark Madison avenue ad where images are the brand, the feeling they create is what they are selling, where the person transposes themselves with the subject or theme of the ad. They envision the fulfillment and how the use of the product or service will impact them. Which type of consumer are you or does it depend on the product?

An example of a "high self monitor ad" would be a new fragrance launch employing the advertising angle of a young, attractive, successful couple relaxing on the beach scantily clad in casual attire, the girl wearing a designer bikini and a few pieces of glamorous jewelry, the man ideally wearing a $30,000 Rolex watch, shirt open, pants rolled up and barefoot in the sand, exhibiting playful demeanor and expressions of care free abandon frolicking about the beach.

Then, naturally, "THE BIG FONT" with a stylish Name (after months of A/B testing, focus groups and rounds of review of course) and actual fragrance product/bottle are the only things in sight. The Price tag (doesn't matter) and you probably wont see one until you go to purchase it, it's the lifestyle your buying into.

Whereas a "low self monitor advertisement" and low self monitor consumer would focus on the product (why is the bottle so strange?), the details, what's in it, how much does it cost?, do I need it, why in the hell are they on a beach with perfume?, etc. Clearly the needs of the consumer dictates the marketing method employed in the brand strategy. Which one are you?

Organic search and sponsored internet marketing are no different. There is a clear-cut method that appeals to each type of consumer, so based on the product you are selling it really boils down to if the ends justify the means and who benefits. It's all about building pre-qualified traffic that inherently has a need for your product or service vs. window shoppers or tire-kickers if your business model utilizes e-commerce.

Conclusion:

Organic SEO is fine if you;

  1. Have a product that you can dedicate 300-750 words to to describe it's value.
  2. Can exhibit supporting materials images, references and materials that emphasize the products benefits.
  3. If you can shroud it in semantic synonyms or jargon (essentially keywords consumers might use to find it) in enough frequency, that it can leverage a high-ranking organic search result.

Aside from that, if you have a product that has a high price point, where there is some wiggle room for how much you are willing to spend to keep the cost per sale within bounds, then by all means pay per click advertising is a viable solution. Another alternative is possibly a hybrid of the two (organic SEO and PPC) to find which method has the highest conversion for your brand.

At the end of the day, if you're in business, you have to weigh the advantages of how your marketing strategies and profit margin impact the bottom line. In closing, one key factor to consider is with organic search results, the keywords branch out over time, so dozens of the keywords you pay for every time someone clicks, you could achieve through an organic search engine optimization campaign.

If you have the time and a great product that is news or review worthy, ultimately, the choice is yours.

Organic SEO

The process of optimizing a web site to obtain high rankings in unpaid search engine listings is called Organic SEO. SEO means Search Engine Optimization. The main objectives of organic SEO is to strategize and find techniques to improve the company's brand visibility, attract larger and better-targeted volumes of search engine users and to expand the company' market shares.

It refers to manual page optimization in contrast with the automatic submittal and page alteration, which is completely different from the general Search Engine Optimization and an automated way of optimizing the ranking of a particular web site.

Other Things to Know:

Similar to organic SEO, the general search engine optimization have their importance. They both are simultaneously used these days. General search engine optimization follows the concept of pay per click advertisements. It is known that many search engine optimization companies prefer organic search engine optimization and are using paid searchers more regularly for various businesses.

Next, it may take several months to plan a web site for organic search engine optimization. On the other hand, it is also crucial to work hard and make the web site unique from others, as there is cutthroat competition in this industry today.

Successful and major organic search engine optimization listings consist of key words or phrases, which are unlikely to be found on other sites. The most renowned technique is arranging words carefully and in a planned manner. The words need to be used in a meaningful and subtle manner from a content writer's standpoint.

Tricks on Organic SEO

Search engines help to generate traffic to your website at the same time they also help promoting your website on the internet and build a web presence for it. There are two major ways in which a website can be optimized on the search engines. Organic SEO is the more beneficial one between the pay per click and organic search engine optimization procedures.

Out of the numerous benefits that organic SEO provides to the websites, the most vital one is that they are permanent and free of cost. The rankings acquired through organic search do not run the risk of being lost after a certain time period. Similarly it is not bound by any contract payment unlike the PPC, where a particular campaign expires as soon as the pre paid amount for the clicks is exhausted.

Though organic SEO is a comparatively slower process than PPC, it is always suggested to run an organic search engine optimization campaign in order to enjoy its long term benefits. But before getting into the process there are a few important points that must be remembered and followed so that the organic SEO techniques prove beneficial to the website.

The first tip here is to be extremely clear about the website. What product or service does it sell, how does it do it and how many deals does it make in a given point of time. It is important to get focused on a particular USP of the site that has the potential to sell the most.

Just in case the website as many important USPs and all of them are important and need to be highlighted. There must be a provision to have separate pages for each of these services or products. A separate page will help in optimizing each of the pages separately and will provide better returns from them.

Keywords play an important role in organic SEO, the concerned website will be listed in the search engines only when the end user types in the keywords that has been optimized or a comparatively relevant keyword to the website content. Hence, the selection of keywords must be done with great care. Select keywords that are popular with the end users and match with your website content as well.

Is Organic SEO Work Makes Worth?

What is Organic SEO (Search Engine Optimization)?

Organic SEO" refers to the manual type of page optimization vs. automatic submittal and page alteration." The important thing to note is that when a company first gets listed on Google's first page, the traffic in the first two months goes up almost exponentially, and conversion rates also improve strongly,"

I would say this is my favorite way of optimizing websites. You bring in traffic by using content that works, linking strategies, and adding value via interactivity and a great user experience, not paid search listings.

Money will definitely be spent in the areas of site redesign and probably in getting content (you may actually have to hire writers to get content) but then again, if you are a web designer who is building your own websites on a low (or nonexistent) budget, organic SEO is definitely the way to go. It may take some time, but you will actually grow in real time experience as you move towards your SEO goals.

Organic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) facts: It has always been recognised that organic search listings or general search listings are the ones most used by search engine browsers to the extent that research shows in excess of 70% of search engine users prefer these listings to the 30% of browsers that utilise sponsored listings or PPC. Most corporate search engine optimisation companies now avoid organic SEO and have moved ever further towards paid search (PPC). Although High Position is an expert in paid inclusion programme set up and management the golden egg has always been the organic listings. Ethical search engine optimisation and compliance technology is the only way to gain these listings..

The main difference between the two methods of marketing is that PPC is aimed entirely at your budget and skill in setting the campaign, however, organic listings are based on the quality and stature of your website in conjunction with the strict search engine guidelines.

Complete the exercise for yourself, go onto www.google.co.uk and search for your main products and services, are you there? If so well done but it may be inadvertently, remember 2006 was started with BMW being thrown out of Googles database for black hat techniques. This highlights the need for High Position to analyse your corporation's website to make sure you are compliant and maximised!!

The Myth of Overnight Success

There are few things that get to me more than the assumption that a large goal (such as getting to number one for a keyword on Google's SERPs) can be done overnight. The easiest SEO I have ever done for an unknown site was done over the course of a month, via content refreshing alone. The key word was unique (blue interface), and the competing web sites were half asleep while we worked.

The issue with this myth is that customers actually believe it. They post jobs such as "We want to be number one in the following key words" then list close to a dozen key words, and everything has to be done under a budget of a thousand dollars and in record time. Organic SEO works, is adaptable and ensures high rankings on SERPs over the long time despite changing algorithms, but nobody can guarantee anything in a month.

Why Organic SEO is Better Than PPC

Despite the fact that both organic SEO and PPC are part of the same system - Search Engine Marketing, there are a few very basic yet essential factors that distinguish organic SEO from PPC and make it much better than the latter. Some of the benefits organic SEO has over PPC are as follows:

It provides long term solutions:

Organic search results might be slow in listing the websites, but its listing is a much more stable and long term process. The search listing which appears through organic search is a more permanent one than PPC which generally runs for a specified time span after which it dissolves and disappears.

The click through rates is higher:

Research proves that the end users too have a tendency of clicking on the organic results more than the paid listings that appear on the search engine result pages. This makes the click through results of organic SEO almost 70% higher than those of the paid search results.

Quality Traffic:

Since the organic SEO are mostly dependent on keywords, that are selected after a proper research and survey on user tendency and demographics is conducted, it suggests that the traffic too will be saturated and of good quality too. The search engine techniques is entirely based on keywords, the end users type in a keyword relevant o their search and the search engines display results that match with their requirement. This makes is evident that the users will only type what they are looking for, and will land into your page only if it is relevant to their search. Therefore, the possibility of having low quality traffic is comparatively low here.

Many more avenues:

Unlike PPC campaigns that only depend on keyword bidding, the organic SEO also involves a number of other techniques of attracting traffic as well. this makes it double effective than the PPC. The natural or organic search also includes content writing, link building or link exchange and other on page and off page promotions to help enhance the traffic flow to a website.

Low Cost Marketing:

The last and the most important difference between organic search and PPC is that the former is a no cost search promotion technique. Organic SEO does not require you to spend any many on marketing, unlike PPC where, one has to keep paying the search engines every time a click is generated.
